November 5 - Turn back the clock
Don't forget to turn back the clock on Sunday, November 5 at 2 a.m.
November 4-5 - Derby City Cup impacting traffic near Joe Creason Park
Due to the Derby City Cup international cyclocross race November 4 and 5, traffic and parking in and around Joe Creason Park is compromised.
The event will see 900 athletes from across the world compete at the highest level of the sport.
Residents and users of the park and its surroundings should be aware of the following:
- The speed humps on Sheridan Avenue inside Joe Creason Park have been temporarily moved.
- During the weekend, traffic into the park will be one-way only into the park off Trevilian Way.
- On race days, the upper walking path in Joe Creason Park by the Louisville Tennis Center, the Metro Parks and Recreation Administration Building, and down to Beargrass Creek will be closed to pedestrian traffic for safety reasons. The walking path along Newburg Road will be open.
