In addition to the systematic block by block Pothole
Blitz we do beginning in March each year, our Roads and Operations Division
works year round patching potholes whenever they are reported to us. We
encourage anyone who spots a pothole in Louisville to report it to MetroCall as
quickly as possible. There are several ways to do it:
Whichever method you choose, make sure to be as specific
with location information as you can. Don't assume someone else has reported
it.
The 2017 Brightside & Passport Health Plan Spring Community Wide Cleanup will kick off Mayor Fischer's Give A Day week on April 15! Last year's Spring Community Wide Cleanup saw over 15,000 volunteers clean up our city and this year, we want to exceed that number!
We encourage all residents to take part in the Community-Wide Cleanup. The event is a great service opportunity for boy/girl scouts, sports teams, faith groups and community organizations. It could also be a corpotate team bonding opportunity!
Cleanups are an integral part of Brightside's mission and without the help of volunteer groups, and many other volunteers throughout the year, Brightside could not achieve their goals of a cleaner, greener Louisville.
Neighborhoods can hold their own cleanups at any point throughout the year and we can provide gloves and bags for each Neighborhood Cleanup. We will work with Solid Waste Management to have the collected litter bags picked up. Give us a call at (502) 574-2613 or register online about two weeks prior to your event to schedule your cleanup and for information about getting supplies.
