In what has become the must-see event of the Halloween season regionally, the Jack O’ Lantern Spectacular opened for the fourth consecutive year in South Louisville’s Iroquois Park.
Councilwoman Welch joined Mayor Greg Fischer, Parks Assistant Director Marty Storch, Southwest Dream Team President
Vince Jarboe, Metro Parks Foundation Vice Chair
Brooke Pardue, and Travis Reckner, Passion For
Pumpkins to officially open the 2016 JOL Spectacular. 5,000 artistically carved pumpkins will be on display nightly from Oct. 13 through Nov. 6. The pumpkins will illuminate a 1/4-mile trail adjacent to the Iroquois Amphitheater, and Metro Parks officials estimate up to 90,000 people will visit.

Had a very successful LMPD Peace Walk in Glengarry Tuesday evening.
Major Frank Hardison, Commander 3rd Division, joined our largest group of neighbors yet! We started with a prayer for these
neighbors who lost a young life 2 weeks ago to a hit & run driver.
Thanks
to all who participated!
