Generations of friends and family gather every August for the annual picnic at St. Joseph Children’s Home to play games, visit, eat, drink, and volunteer. On average, over 50,000 people attend on Picnic Day!
A limited amount of parking will be available via the Brownsboro Road entrance. Additional off-site parking is available at The Southern Baptist Seminary, with shuttle service to and from the Picnic.New this year, will be on-site to provide you with a safe ride home.
All proceeds from the Picnic supports St. Joe’s kids! The mission of St. Joseph Children’s Home (SJCH) is “Giving Children a Home.” Since 1849, SJCH has provided a loving home to Louisville’s most vulnerable children – first orphans, and in later years those children removed from their homes due to neglect, abuse, domestic violence or substance abuse.
Governor Bevin knows that for businesses to thrive in Kentucky, the Commonwealth must cut through the red tape of excessive and complex regulatory burdens that continue to be a hardship for many small business owners. While these types of regulations can be effective and even protect public interests, they can also stifle economic growth, impose high costs on businesses and impede private sector investment.
Gov. Bevin is committed to restraining runaway government and re-empowering citizens. With your help, his Red Tape Reduction Initiative will identify costly, ineffective or outdated regulations and conduct a thorough review. The end goal is to allow businesses to operate in a modernized regulatory system that provides them with the flexibility they need to serve their customers.
HOW YOU CAN HELP
If you are aware of a regulation that you believe to be outdated, unnecessary or overly complex, let Governor Bevin's office know by filling out this form. All suggestions will be reviewed and evaluated.
