Special thanks to LMPD 4th Division and members of Grace United Methodist Church for cleaning all of the alleys in Oakdale.  Councilwoman Butler is shown above with Major Ryan Bates and officers from the 4th Division cleaning in the alley between Beecher and Florence.

Special thanks to Louisville Metro Corrections who clean in the rain!  Correction Officers cleaned all of the expressway ramps at Southern Parkway, Third Street and Taylor Boulevard as well as Conn Street and Berry Boulevard.  Members of the Corrections Department are shown below before the cleanup.

Another Illegal Dumper Apprended

Louisville Metro Seal

SWMS Enforcement received an anonymous tip that led Enforcement Officers to a truck that had been used to illegally haul and dump tires.  This makes the third truck impounded just this week involved in illegal dumping in the same spot along Old Dixie Highway.  This makes a total of eight impoundments for SWMS Enforcement in 2016. The owner of the truck will face a $500 citation and $250 in impound and storage fees.  The Kentucky division of Solid Waste Management, who regulates waste tires, has been contacted and will follow up with the owner of the vehicle to investigate where the tires came from.  If they cooperate with State Officials, the shop where the tires came from could face thousands in fines.

Report Litterers or Illegal dumping by calling 311 or visit the this link for more information.
