 Today on this the 74th anniversary of Pearl Harbor we remember true American heroism and all of the brave men and women who have paid the ultimate sacrifice so that we can call America the home of the free.
 This year, St. Albert the Great School, which is located in the heart of District 7 received the Distinction of a National Blue Ribbon School of Excellence! The National Blue Ribbon Schools Program is a United States government program that was created in 1982 to honor schools which have achieved the highest levels of performance. This year the US Department of Education selected 50 private schools from across the country to receive this distinction, 5 of these private schools are located right here in Louisville! St. Albert the Great School now ranks among the nation's top 15 percent for highest performing schools. Councilwoman Leet and the residents of District 7 congratulate the Principal, teachers, support staff, students, parents and administration on
achieving this outstanding achievement of becoming a National Blue Ribbon School of
Excellence.
