Since 1989, this award-winning cleanup for the Ohio River and its tributaries brings thousands of volunteers to the riverbanks to collect tons of trash and debris. River Sweep encompasses the entire length of the river, from its origin in Pittsburgh, PA to its end in Cairo, IL, including nearly 3,000 miles of shoreline and many tributaries.

Join us on Saturday, August 29th from 9:00 a.m. to noon at Riverview Park (8202 Greenwood Rd.)! All participants receive gloves, trash bags and a commemorative T-shirt. For more information about the Louisville cleanups, contact MSD coordinator Rhonda Boyle-Crotzer at 548-8409 or rhonda.boyle@louisvillemsd.org.

The 11th annual RBA Light-Up Riverport Golf Scramble will be held at Iroquois Golf Course on Saturday, August 29th. Proceeds will be used to pay the annual costs of Riverport street lighting and the LMPD and EMS substation. This annual event helps keep out employees safe and our facilities secure. Breakfast will be served beginning at 6:30 a.m. followed by a shotgun start at 7:00 a.m. When the last team returns from play, we’ll enjoy a Texas Roadhouse lunch and a presentation of trophies and door prizes.

We hope to have 30 participating teams again this year and only have 14 currently. Please register your players and teams as soon as possible here. Player names, teams and payment status will appear on our website until the event. You can join as an individual player or a team of four. Please help us make this a great fundraiser for the RBA!
