On Saturday, September 26th, thousands of spectators will watch over 40,000 yellow rubber ducks splash into the Ohio River in Downtown Louisville and race toward the finish line. Race Day kicks off at Noon at Festival Plaza at Waterfront Park. There will be entertainment for the entire family—live music, face painting, games. Harbor House of Louisville’s very own mascot Quacky will also be there with plenty of his friends!

All proceeds from the Duck Derby benefit the Harbor House of Louisville, a 501 (c) (3) charity. Harbor House of Louisville is a non-profit training and development center that seeks to empower individuals with disabilities and their families to lead fulfilled and productive lives.

Help your community by recycling! Our landfills are a finite resource with only so much space to hold all of our community's trash. Recycling as much as possible keeps reusable materials from going to the landfill and extends the landfill's life. Councilwoman Fowler has partnered with Solid Waste Management to provide a Recycling Bin at Sun Valley Park to allow Southwest residents to dispose of recyclable materials for FREE!

(Only Paper, Cardboard, Plastic, and Glass are allowed. No hazardous materials or containers are permitted.)
