Reminder: Submit Form 300A Data Today!

Inspections to target businesses that missed deadline

FRANKFORT, Ky. (June 3, 2021) - The Kentucky Labor Cabinet is reminding employers who have not submitted calendar year 2020 Form 300A data that they should promptly do so to avoid potential penalties for non-compliance.

Compliance officers with the cabinet’s Division of Occupational Safety and Health Compliance will begin inspecting employers who failed to electronically submit Form 300A data or their Employee Identification Number (EIN) to the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) by the March 2 deadline. Inspections could result in citations with monetary penalties for non-compliance.

Electronic submissions are required by establishments with 250 or more employees currently required to keep OSHA injury and illness records, and those establishments with 20-249 employees classified in specific industries with historically high rates of occupational injuries and illnesses.  Click here to review which establishments need to provide their data.

It isn’t too late to submit the data!

Although the deadline has passed, OSHA is still accepting submissions. Employers are encouraged to promptly submit the data on OSHA’s website.

The Division of Occupational Safety and Health Education and Training provides free consultation and training for employers who wish to proactively identify and address safety and health hazards through the KYSAFE program. Utilizing the OSH consultation services builds alliances with Kentucky employers to promote worker safety and provides employees with a safer workplace environment.
