KLE Dispatches occasionally provides notices or announcements of training offered or hosted by various agencies and private companies. An interested agency should inquire about the training prior to enrolling in any training announced herein. Unless noted otherwise, no certification, accreditation, or endorsement of training is intended or implied by inclusion in this document.

SEIZE THE CASH The Versailles Police Department will host a Seize the Cash training taught by Wayne Comegno on July 11 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The course will look at financial crimes, legal rules of engagement, sources of information, investigative tools and techniques, targeted operation and investigating money laundering and financial investigation execution. ARIDE TRAINING The Kentucky Association of Chiefs of Police and the Kentucky Office of Highway Safety will host several ARIDE trainings throughout 2022. ARIDE training is certified for 16 hours of KLEC training. The dates and locations are:
- September 27-28, at the Murray Police Department Training Room
- October 19-20, at the Boone County Sheriff’s Office Training Room
- November 2-3, at the Elizabethtown Police Department Training Room
- December 7-8, at the Hazard Public Library or Hazard CTC.

UAS FORENSIC MAPPING – REPORTING INSTRUCTIONS COURSE The Kentucky State Police will host a UAS Forensic Mapping – Reporting Instructions course Aug. 1-5 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the KSP Academy, located at 380 Coffee Tree Road in Frankfort. The course will be taught in Classroom 3. Meals will be provided by KSP at no cost to the agency. Lodging facilities at KSP will not be available. You may choose to utilize a local hotel at a government rate.
Agencies should already have a sUAS program developed and are legally operating under the proper federal authority. Each student should be a certified crime scene technician, collision reconstructionist or collision technician and have received formal training in the use of Total Station or GNSS equipment to create digital forensic diagrams of a collision or crime scenes. INTERVIEWING VICTIMS OF TRAUMA The Office of Victims Advocacy is offering a 24-hour KLEC-approved course that focuses on interviewing victims of trauma. The techniques taught are trauma informed and victim centered which can be of great use in all levels of investigation. There is no cost to the officer or department. - Aug. 23-25 at the Louisville Metro Police Department
- Aug. 30-Sept. 1 at the Louisville Metro Police Department
- Sept. 13-15 at the Pikeville Police Department
- Oct. 25-27 at the Boone County Sheriff’s Office.
FBI-LEEDA TRILOGY LEADERSHIP SERIES The Lexington Police Department will host the FBI-LEEDA Trilogy Leadership Series throughout 2022. The dates are:
- Executive Leadership Institute – Oct. 24-28, 2022
