KOG UM system access: KOG OKTA transition to ForgeRock on 01/17/2025

Hello,
The Cabinet for Health and Family Services (CHFS) and the KYID/Kentucky Online Gateway (KOG) wish to inform you that on January 17, 2025, KYID/KOG will transition from using Okta to Ping ForgeRock. This transition marks the beginning of our Identity and Access Management modernization journey.
Please note the transition does NOT apply to those users who utilize Symantec VIP as their Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA).
Please review the following information if you currently use Okta as your KOG MFA.
- Before January 17, 2025, you may select a new MFA from Symantec VIP, Voice/SMS, or email, which are the options KYID/KOG suggests.
- After January 17, 2025, you may install the new MFA, Ping ForgeRock, to replace Okta, Symantec VIP, Voice/SMS, or email.
TRAINING RESOURCES
KYID/KOG has outlined the training resources available for the KYID/KOG Ping ForgeRock Transition. These training resources cover the screen changes and the new ForgeRock Authenticator MFA process.
Training Materials Available:
The following training materials will be available on the KOG Help Desk webpage after January 17, 2025. They are also attached for your convenience.
- KOG Login User Guide: A detailed instruction guide that outlines how to set up MFA for your KOG account, how to manage your MFA for your KOG account, and how to reset passwords for your KOG account. This will be featured on the KOG Help Desk homepage.
- ForgeRock MFA FAQs: A list of frequently asked questions regarding the Ping ForgeRock migration.
- KOG Account Creation: A short video demonstrating how to create a KOG Account will be posted on the Help Desk Page on 1/18/25.
