New Waiver Slots to be Released Beginning in August

House Bill 6 provided funding through the state budget for additional waiver slots for the 1915(c) Home and Community Based Services Waiver Programs as follows: 

The Cabinet for Health and Family Services (CHFS) has developed a plan to allocate the new slots gradually starting in August 2024. This gradual approach is being used to avoid provider over-capacity or create situations where individuals are enrolled in the waiver but cannot find a service provider. 

CHFS will communicate with stakeholders monthly and will provide updates through the Medicaid Advisory Committee and Technical Advisory Committees.
