Monthly Community Meetings
Join Livable Neighborhoods Task Force for our monthly meetings to learn about community programs and available resources, get updates from various Unified Government departments and other public municipal agencies, and hear announcements from community members and organizations.
When: The 4th Thursday of every month, January to October Time: 9:00 AM - 10:30 AM Location: In-person at the Neighborhood Resource Center or via Zoom

Downtown KCK Small Business Crawl
Are you a small business owner in Downtown Kansas City, KS?
Downtown Shareholders of Kansas City, KS, Inc. is planning a Small Business Crawl for April 21-28, 2025!
Participating businesses will have an opportunity to appear on passports provided to customers which are stamped when they visit. Customers can then return finished passports for a chance to win a prize. Businesses can have giveaways, drinks, coupons or just give a stamp/sticker when customers visit. There will be no obligation to purchase.

Lead Poisoning Prevention Program
Lead is a heavy metal that can be found in the air, soil, and dust around us, and the paint of some homes or buildings built before 1978. Exposure to lead can cause serious health problems. Fortunately, lead poisoning can be prevented. The Wyandotte County Public Health Department offers the kNOw Lead KCK program to qualifying homeowners and renters to assist with lead abatement efforts.

Test Your Home for Radon
Radon is an invisible, odorless, and tasteless gas that comes from the breakdown of naturally occurring uranium found within soil, rocks, and groundwater. Radon is the second leading cause of lung cancer. High quantity of radon impacts 1 in 4 Kansas homes. Wyandotte County's K-State Research & Extension offers low-cost kits for $15 that can be shipped or picked up in-person.
