A New Licensing System is Coming!
Effective April 24, 2025, KREC is migrating to a new licensing system through vendor Accela. Detailed instruction will be provided to applicants, licensees, and educators regarding access to the new system as we near the go-live date.
A valid email address is required to ensure licensees receive communication to register with the new system. Please login to your current account at Mylicense E-Gov and follow these instructions to update your email address prior to April 14.
Our current system will be offline April 14 - 23, 2025. During this time, all online services will be unavailable and no new submissions will be processed, including requests received by mail, email, or fax. Candidates for the Pearson VUE licensing exam are not able to schedule an appointment between April 10 - April 23, 2025.
If you have a May 1, 2025, license expiration date we strongly encourage you to complete your CE now and license renewal prior to April 14.
Questions on how the migration may affect your role may be directed to the Licensing department at krec@ks.gov or the Education department at kreceducation@ks.gov. Thank you for your patience during this time.

Licensees, Written Reports, and Disclosure
A consumer is not required to purchase a home inspection, or any other expert written report; however, it may be in their best interest to do so. If the buyer expresses concerns with a property condition, it is the licensee’s responsibility to suggest the parties obtain expert advice. See 58-30,106(a)(2)(C) for seller’s agent, 58-30,107(a)(2)(C) for buyer’s agent, and 58-30, 113(b)(2)(B) for transaction broker. All statutes are available for review here.
The buyer’s agent, seller’s agent, or transaction broker must disclose all adverse material facts actually known by the licensee to all parties involved in the transaction. Regardless of representation in the transaction, this duty is owed to the client or customer. See 58-30,106(a)(2)(B) and (d)(1) for seller’s agent, 58-30,107(a)(2)(B) and (d)(1) for buyer’s agent, and 58-30, 113(b)(2)(F) for transaction broker. If a licensee is aware of a significant issue that could alter the value or safety of the property, it must be disclosed.
Any facts known by the licensee that were omitted from or contradict any information included in a written report must be disclosed. If a previous inspection conducted on the property contradicts information on a written report and the licensee is aware, it must be disclosed. See 58-30,106(d)(3) and (4) for seller’s agent, 58-30,107(d)(3) and (4) for buyer’s agent, and 58-30, 113(c) and (d) for transaction broker.
A licensed agent from either side of the transaction should be present at the property if the buyers are attending the property inspection. This promotes the best interest of the buyer and protects the seller’s property. A buyer should never be given access to the property without permission from the sellers. K.S.A. 58-3062(e)(6) states that no licensee shall intentionally misappropriate or misuse any personal property or real property of a client or customer.
Disciplinary Actions
Revocations, suspensions, and aggregate fines of $500 or greater issued 01/29/25-04/04/25.
