New Year Resolution Checklist

Here’s a few tips to get your year started off right!

1. Check your expiration date and save it to your calendar. Don’t wait for your license renewal reminder. Know your deadline now by checking here.
2. Confirm your email is up to date. KREC sends courtesy reminders and other information via email. You don’t want to miss out on important information. Login to MyLicense EGov to check and update contact information.
3. Enroll in CE. Don’t wait for your renewal date to approach. Get a jump on your courses by checking the Directory of Approved Continuing Education Providers and Courses. This will help prevent delays when renewing.
4. Confirm your education provider has your correct Kansas license number and that your name matches your license, particularly those online course accounts you haven’t logged into in two years. This will help ensure credit is successfully applied to your record when submitted by your provider.
5. Follow us on social media. That’s right, we offer helpful tips and reminders via Facebook, Twitter, and Linkedin all year long.

These five tips will help make 2023 a success!

Employee Spotlight Stephanie Nelson is a licensing specialist at KREC since August 2022. She answers phones, reviews applications, and processes renewals. She obtained a Business Management degree during the pandemic. Recently, she and her boyfriend moved into their first house… only two houses away from her dad! During her free time, she enjoys completing small renovations around the house, cuddling with her five cats, and playing outside with her dog. She also loves spending time with her boyfriend and her family. She has two older brothers, four younger brothers, one sister, and two nieces. She loves kids and is excited to have her own in the future.

2023 ARELLO President

Executive Director, Erik Wisner, is currently serving as 2023 president for the Association of Real Estate License Law Officials (ARELLO).
