Officials from APAC and state and local government at the groundbreaking
APAC breaks ground on Logistics Park facility
Newton City officials were privileged to participate this week in APAC's groundbreaking for their new rock and asphalt material facility at the Kansas Logistics Park.
The plant will be a direct supplier for industries throughout the state, including GAF’s Newton facility – milling down limestone aggregate to a powdered substance that GAF will use in its shingle manufacturing. The 10,000-square-foot facility represents a total capital investment of $22.7 million and 23 new full-time jobs.
APAC-Kansas began over 150 years ago in Hutchinson and now has facilities across the state, including an asphalt plant on SW 14th Street in Newton. Thank you for your continued investment in our community!

NPD rallies Cookie Daze race participant across finish line
At this year’s Cookie Daze 5K, Newton Police officers had the privilege of supporting Jordan Ryan as he achieved an incredible milestone. Two years after suffering strokes that left him paralyzed, Jordan set a goal to complete his first race, and successfully crossed the finish line.
As he approached the finish, officers joined volunteers and community members in cheering him on. We are grateful to Jordan for allowing us to be part of such an inspiring moment and congratulate him on this remarkable accomplishment!
