Sanitation
Remember to store your trash carts after your weekly pickup! Leaving your containers out long after the Sanitation crew has come by can create issues – from blocking valuable parking spaces on streets to blowing hazardous carts down the roadway.
Be a good neighbor by bringing your container back to its home within 24 hours of service. Our Sanitation team thanks you!

 Flooding Awareness
Spring storms can cause unexpected flooding. In fact, you don’t even need to live near water to be at risk of flooding. Anywhere it rains, it can flood. Don't let a storm ruin your plans — protect the life you've built. The City of Newton is part of the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP), making federal flood insurance available to property owners and renters. Additionally, because the City participates in FEMA’s Community Rating System program, flood insurance premiums are discounted.
