Newton is one of 30 Main Street designated communities in Kansas and over a thousand across the nation. Part of being a Main Street Community means we have access to additional resources and opportunities for our small businesses and Main Street. Main Street America has just updated their resource page for Small Businesses. Please make sure to go check it out and take advantage of this wonderful opportunity. If you come across any content that you cannot access due to membership login please email jlehman@newtonkansas.com. Click here to see these resources.

We are looking for your input to share with potential buyers and developers for the Depot downtown. Please go to our Facebook or Instagram account to share your ideas of what you would like to see go into the Depot and we will share those suggestions with those we are meeting with. Thank you for helping to offer great ideas and showing developers and buyers why they should #ChooseNewton!
The T-Mobile Hometown Grant program is open for applications until September 30, at 11:59 p.m. CDT. This is a grant opportunity to help build stronger, more prosperous small towns and rural communities. Newton is eligible to apply for this $50,000 grant. Past recipients have enhanced public tech infrastructure, created new recreational trails, restored historic landmarks, and more. If you have an idea you feel would help make a lasting impact on Newton and are interested in applying, please reach out to Jen Lehman at jlehman@newtonkansas.com or 316-284-3642.
