Memorial Day to alter trash pickup schedule

The City of Newton will observe Monday, May 27 as the Memorial Day holiday, altering the curbside trash and recycling pickup schedules.

Trash normally picked up on Monday will be picked up Tuesday, May 28. Trash normally picked up on Tuesday will be picked up Wednesday, May 29. Thursday and Friday routes will run as usual.
