Topeka man arrested for sexual exploitation of a child
SHAWNEE COUNTY – The Kansas Bureau of Investigation (KBI) arrested a Topeka man Thursday morning for a child sex offense.
On Thursday, Sept. 11, KBI agents with the Child Victims Unit executed a search warrant at a residence at 3709 SE Truman Ave. in Topeka. Following the search, at around 9 a.m., KBI agents arrested Mark A. Calloway Jr., 27, of Topeka, for sexual exploitation of a child. The Topeka Police Department assisted in the arrest.
The KBI began investigating after a cyber-tip was submitted to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.
Following his arrest Calloway was booked into the Shawnee County Department of Corrections. Additional charges against Calloway are expected.
All subjects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
