Dengue is a year-round risk in many parts of the world. Dengue is observed in an endemic-epidemic pattern, meaning that it occurs regularly in these areas with year-round risk, but large outbreaks can and have occur. The U.S. reports an average of 626 travel-associated dengue cases every year. As of June 25, 2024, more than 30 countries are reporting higher-than-usual cases.
