Narcotics Investigation Leads to Drug, Cash, and Firearm Seizure
KENT COUNTY, Mich: Over the past several months, detectives from the Kent County Sheriff’s Office assigned to the Kent Area Narcotics Enforcement Team (KANET) have been conducting an investigation into the sale and delivery of methamphetamine, cocaine, and other illegal drugs.
During the investigation, detectives identified three suspects connected to two residences in Muskegon. KANET, with assistance from the West Michigan Enforcement Team (WEMET), Michigan State Police K9 Unit, and Muskegon Police Department, executed search warrants at both residences.
As a result of the investigation and search warrants, detectives seized:

371.76 grams of suspected heroin/fentanyl

27 grams of suspected methamphetamine
-
71.03 grams of suspected cocaine
-
124 suspected amphetamine pills
-
$19,360 in U.S. currency
-
Three rifles
-
Two handguns
Three Muskegon men were arrested as a result of the investigation:

Elijah Aguero, 21

Jimarea Jackson, 20

Tyler Connor, 22
Charges stemming from the investigation include possession of a firearm and ammunition by a prohibited person, felony firearm, possession of controlled substances, and multiple counts of delivery/manufacture-controlled substances. Probation, parole, and habitual offender violations were also identified in connection with the arrests.
This investigation is another example of KCSO’s continued commitment to disrupting drug trafficking and removing dangerous drugs and firearms from our communities. Drug trafficking does not stop with the sale of illegal narcotics. It contributes to addiction, violence, other criminal activity, and the destruction of lives and families throughout West Michigan.
“KCSO and our law enforcement partners will continue investigating those responsible for trafficking illegal drugs into Kent County and targeting the money, firearms, and criminal networks associated with those operations” said Kent County Sheriff Appointee Bryan Muir.
