Pedestrian Fatally Struck On S Division Ave
GAINES TOWNSHIP, Mich: On August 7, 2026, at approximately 11:15 PM, deputies responded to the 6500 block of S Division Avenue for a crash involving a pedestrian.
A 51-year-old Cutlerville man was crossing S Division Avenue when he was struck by a northbound sedan driven by a 20-year-old man. The man died at the scene.
The driver remained at the scene for the investigation. Alcohol does not appear to be a factor; however, speed may have contributed to the crash.
The crash remains under investigation by the Kent County Sheriff’s Office Traffic Safety Unit.
