KCSO Investigating Fatal Motorcycle Crash at Racetrack
GRATTAN TOWNSHIP, Mich: On June 7, 2026, at approximately 3:15 PM, deputies responded to Grattan Raceway for a report of a motorcycle crash that occurred on the race track.
Preliminary investigation indicates a 39-year-old man from Dewitt, MI was participating in an open riding event when they were involved in a crash on the track. Despite lifesaving efforts, he was pronounced dead at the scene. The rider was wearing a helmet and protective riding gear at the time of the crash.
The Kent County Sheriff's Office is investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash.
