Early Morning Shooting Under Investigation
GAINES TOWNSHIP, Mich: The Kent County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a shooting that occurred just after 4:00 a.m. in the 400 block of 60th Street SE on 2/22/2026. Deputies responded to the scene and secured the area. Detectives are actively investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident.
Preliminary information indicates that multiple shots were fired into an occupied residence. No injuries were reported. At this time, no additional details are being released.
