Stabbing in Alpine Township
ALPINE TOWNSHIP, Mich: Just after 9:00 PM tonight, a man was stabbed inside of the Walmart store on Alpine Ave (3999 Alpine Ave NW). The suspect left the store, was struck by a vehicle, and apprehended by bystanders. Within minutes, police arrived at the scene and took custody of the suspect. The victim is a 23-year-old male who suffered several stab wounds and was transported to a local hospital in stable condition. There were no other victims or others injured at the scene.
The suspect is a 29-year-old man who was evaluated on the scene for minor injuries related to being struck by the vehicle. He will be lodged at the Kent County Sheriff’s Office. The KCSO Investigative Team is working to interview those involved along with witnesses at the store.
