KCSO Investigates Drowning Incident at Long Lake Park
SOLON TOWNSHIP, Mich: On July 25, 2025, just after 8:00 p.m., deputies from the Kent County Sheriff’s Office responded to Long Lake Park in Solon Township on a report of a child who was pulled from the lake and unresponsive.
Several deputies and medical first responders arrived and immediately took over life-saving efforts. Despite extended resuscitation attempts, the 4-year-old child was pronounced dead at the scene.
This incident remains under investigation by the KCSO Investigative Division.
The loss of a young life is a tragedy no family should ever face. Our thoughts are with the parents and loved ones as they grieve this unimaginable loss.
