KCSO Investigating Shooting Leaving Two Dead
GAINES TOWNSHIP, Mich: On July 21, 2025, just after 1pm, KCSO received a 911 call at a residence in the 6700 block of Madison Avenue SE for a domestic incident. The caller then reported hearing shots inside the home.
Deputies arrived and entered the residence where they located a deceased adult male and adult female, both with apparent gunshot wounds. Both were pronounced dead at the scene.
Detectives are investigating the case as a domestic-related incident. The individuals involved are believed to have been in a dating relationship. There is no ongoing threat to the public.
The identities of the victims are being withheld at this time. The Kent County Medical Examiner’s Office will conduct autopsies as part of the investigation.
