Double Fatal Crash Under Investigation in Courtland Township
COURTLAND TOWNSHIP, Mich: Just before 8:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 24, 2025, deputies were called to a serious crash at the intersection of 13 Mile Road NE and Courtland Drive NE.
The crash involved two vehicles and resulted in a rollover, a fire, and one person pinned inside. Both drivers, who were the only people in their vehicles, died from their injuries. One was pronounced dead at the scene, and the other passed away after being taken to the hospital.
The Kent County Sheriff’s Office Traffic Safety Unit is continuing to investigate how the crash happened. Names are not being released at this time to allow families to be notified first.
