KCSO Investigating Fatal Motorcycle Crash in Oakfield Township

OAKFIELD TOWNSHIP, Mich: The Kent County Sheriff’s Office has learned that the passenger involved in Saturday's motorcycle crash in Oakfield Township has died from her injuries.
On June 7, 2025, deputies responded to a single-vehicle crash near the intersection of Hart Street NE and McArthur Avenue NE. The driver, a 65-year-old man from Greenville, was pronounced dead at the scene. His passenger, a 62-year-old woman, also from Greenville, was transported to the hospital in critical condition and later passed away at the hospital. We extend our deepest condolences to the family and loved ones of both individuals during this difficult time.

and loved ones of those involved in a fatal motorcycle crash that occurred Saturday afternoon in Oakfield Township.
On June 7, 2025, deputies from the Kent County Sheriff’s Office responded to a single-vehicle motorcycle crash near the intersection of Hart Street NE and McArthur Avenue NE. The driver, a 65-year-old man from Greenville, was pronounced dead at the scene. A 62-year-old woman, also from Greenville, was a passenger on the motorcycle and was transported to an area hospital in critical condition.
The Kent County Sheriff’s Office Traffic Safety Unit is handling the investigation. Preliminary information suggests the driver lost control and left the roadway.
