The results of the May 6, 2025 Special Election are available here. Available on our website is also a copy of the Official Election Summary Report and Official Statement of Votes Cast Report. Kent County experienced a 17% voter turnout for this election.
The official candidate and proposal list for the August 5, 2025 Special and Primary Elections can be found by clicking here. Click here view your sample ballot, polling location, drop box location, or to request an absentee ballot. The only candidate contest for this election is for the Cedar Springs City Council. The four candidates who receive the most votes will advance to a runoff election on November 4, 2025.

Following each election the County Clerk conducts an independent post-election precinct and absentee voter county board procedural audit. Our office, in conjunction with the State Bureau of Elections, randomly draws a varying number of precincts in the County where we audit the process of a precinct's absentee voter count board and election day polling location. This audit includes analyzing requirements around pre-election processes, election inspectors, electronic pollbook, voting systems and testing, paper pollbook, ballot containers, and applications to vote. Our office is currently conducting the audits for the May 6, 2025 Special Election, you can find the schedule on our website here.

Ballot Question Committees and Candidate Committees who are NOT participating in a 2025 election must complete a July Quarterly Statement. Close of books for this statement is July 20 and the statement is due by 5pm July 25.
Any committee participating in the August 5, 2025 Special and Primary Elections must complete a Pre-Election Statement. Close of books for this statement is July 20 and the statement is due by 5pm July 25.
