Vendors and Volunteers needed for Homeless Veteran Event
GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - Kent County Veterans Services (KCVS) is looking for vendors and volunteers for our fourth annual Homeless Veteran Stand Down event in partnership with the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs.
This year's event is planned for Sept. 11, 2025 from 10 am to 2 pm just east of our building at 1222 Bradford St NE, Grand Rapids, MI 49503. Last year, we served about 100 Veterans and hope to serve more this year.
The event is open to all Veterans to receive food, clothing, and health screenings. There will be vendors on-site providing Veterans with information about filing benefit claims, health care, housing solutions, employment, substance use treatment, mental health counseling and other essential services.
We are still looking for vendors for the event that provide:
- Clothing
- Employment Resources
- Food
- Healthcare Resources
- Housing Resources
- Legal Services
Interested organizations can apply to be a vendor here.
We are also looking for volunteers who can help on-site before, during and after the event. Volunteers will set up tables and chairs, direct guests to different areas, and assist Veterans. If you are interested, apply to be a volunteer.
Media: There are several photos from our previous events that you can use in this Dropbox folder. If you are interested in setting up an interview about this, please reach out to Dan Zar to coordinate a time.
