Kent County Community Action's 37th Annual Walk for Warmth Event Helps Families Pay Heating Bills
Grand Rapids, MI (February 19, 2025) – Join Kent County Community Action (KCCA) at its Walk For Warmth event this Saturday, February 22. Walk For Warmth is a short walk around the KCCA facility to raise money for families in Kent County who need assistance paying their heating bill and have received a utility shut off notice for gas, electric, and deliverable fuels like propane.
"No one should have to choose between heating their home and putting food on the table," said Gustavo Perez, Kent County Community Action Director. "The Walk for Warmth event is more than just a walk - it’s a community coming together to ensure our neighbors stay warm and safe during our harsh winter months. Every step we take and every dollar we raise goes directly to helping Kent County families in need. Together, we can make a real difference."
