GAINES TOWNSHIP, Mich. – Shortly after midnight, deputies from the Kent County Sheriff’s Office (KCSO) responded to reports of gunfire in the 600 block of Fresno Circle, where a woman was seen fleeing from a residence. Upon arrival, deputies secured the area and ensured the safety of everyone involved.
An investigation revealed that the incident resulted from a domestic dispute between a 34-year-old man and a 30-year-old woman. During the altercation, a firearm was discharged multiple times, with bullets striking a neighboring residence. Fortunately, there were no reported injuries, including to the two young children who were present in the home at the time.
The man involved was taken into custody, and the case will be forwarded to the Kent County Prosecutor’s Office for review.
