KCSO Investigates Fatal Accident in Byron Township
BYRON TOWNSHIP, Mich: Shortly after 7:30 PM tonight, the KCSO, along with the Cutlerville Fire Department and Life EMS, responded to the area of 68th St and Creekstone Ln for a pedestrian struck by a vehicle. KCSO's preliminary investigation revealed a white Honda Odyssey was driving westbound on 68th St, near Creekstone Ln when it struck a 44-year-old Kentwood man in the roadway. Life-saving measures were performed on scene, but the man succumbed to his injuries at an area hospital.
A 39-year-old Gaines Township woman was driving the Honda Odyssey and was not injured.
The circumstances leading up to the accident remain under investigation by the KCSO Traffic Safety Unit.
