Media Advisory: All Kent County Offices and Health Clinics Will Be Closed In Observance of Veterans Day
GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (November 8, 2024) – All Kent County offices and Health Department clinics will be closed on Monday, November 11 in observance of Veterans Day.
The Kent County Correctional Facility will remain open with regular hours; however, all other services will be closed.
Our Department of Public Works administrative offices will be closed on Veterans Day. However, all disposal services will remain open on November 11, including the SafeChem program in Byron Center (8:30am-11:30am) and Grand Rapids (1:30pm-5:30pm). The SafeChem program in Wyoming will be closed.

Honoring Our Heroes: Supporting and Thanking Veterans for Their Service
Kent County Veterans Services encourages the community to take part in Operation Green Light through November 11 by changing their exterior lighting to the color green in support of our area veterans. This campaign will culminate with the Veterans Day Parade, taking place at 7 p.m. on Monday, November 11. We hope to see you at the parade or your house/business lit up!
