Plainfield Township Man Dies In Crash
PLAINFIELD TOWNSHIP, Mich: Tonight, just after 7:00 pm the Kent County Sheriff's Office, the Plainfield Fire Department, and LIFE EMS responded to an accident at Plainfield Ave and Mark St. Despite lifesaving efforts and being transported to an area hospital for treatment, a 21-year-old Plainfield Township man succumbed to his injuries.
KCSO's preliminary investigation revealed that the 21-year-old man was driving a 2016 Yamaha motorcycle southbound on Plainfield Ave at a high rate of speed when he collided with a 2023 Volvo B5 turning westbound onto Mark St. The Volvo was driven by a 23-year-old Grand Rapids woman. She did not sustain any injuries.
This incident remains under investigation by the KCSO Traffic Safety Unit.
