KCSO Investigates Fatal Accident in Caledonia Township
CALEDONIA TOWNSHIP, Mich: Tonight, just before 5:00 pm the Kent County Sheriff's Office, the Caledonia Fire Department, and LIFE EMS responded to an accident at 68th St and Patterson Ave. Life-saving measures were attempted, but a 66-year-old man from Middleville, MI was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Our preliminary investigation revealed a 68-year-old Hudsonville woman was driving a silver Chevrolet Impala westbound on 68th St when she turned southbound onto Patterson Ave. As she turned, she collided head-on with an eastbound Harley Davidson motorcycle that was driven by the Middleville man. The woman sustained minor injuries.
This incident remains under investigation by the KCSO Traffic Safety Unit.
