KCSO Investigates Drowning at Versluis Park
PLAINFIELD TOWNSHIP, Mich: KCSO is investigating the drowning of a 44-year-old Kentwood man tonight at Versluis Park.
Shortly after 6:00 PM, KCSO deputies responded to the park for a water emergency. Preliminary information revealed the man went into the water, beyond the swim area, and did not resurface. KCSO's Dive Team was activated and on their way when a Good Samaritan recovered the man from the water. Life-saving efforts were performed; however, the man died. KCSO extends our deepest condolences to his family.
KCSO was assisted by Cannon Fire, Plainfield Fire, and Life EMS.
