KCSO Sergeant Injured Following Altercation with Purse Snatching Suspect
WALKER, Mich: Today, around 10:00 AM, a KCSO Sergeant sustained minor injuries following a traffic stop on a black Dodge Durango, which is related to recent purse snatchings in our county, similar to the incident this morning around 8:30 AM in Cascade Township.
KCSO learned the Durango was near Meijer, in the area of Alpine Ave and Hillside Dr. The vehicle was located and KCSO conducted a traffic stop. The driver, a 38-year-old man from Battle Creek, got into a physical altercation with our Sergeant, and then ran. Despite a lengthy search, the man was not located, but we have positively identified him.
KCSO was assisted by the Walker Police Department and Grand Rapids Police Department.
