Kool Chevrolet Assisted KCSO Solve Fraudulent Purchase of Corvette
PLAINFIELD TOWNSHIP, Mich: Over the weekend, Kool Chevrolet contacted the Kent County Sheriff's Office after they encountered suspicious activity during the sale of a 2024 C8 Corvette. KCSO's preliminary investigation revealed Ingre Valerino, a 47-year-old woman from Florida, and Brian Dykema, a 46-year-old Grand Rapids man, attempted to purchase the Corvette using fraudulent documents.
KCSO is grateful for Kool Chevrolet's responsiveness and transparency which led to the arrest of Ms. Valerino and Mr. Dykema. They are in the custody of the Kent County Correctional Facility on charges of false pretenses ($50,000 - $100,000), using a forged state identification card to commit a felony, and identity theft.
This incident remains under investigation by KCSO's Investigative Unit.
