Starting with the November 5, 2024 General Election, the County will now feature a watermark on all ballots. The watermark is a very faint impression in the fibers of the paper that can be seen when the sheet is held up to light. This is yet another feature that can be added to strengthen the security and integrity of our elections process and increase public confidence.

Following each election the County Clerk conducts an independent post-election audit. Our office, in conjunction with the State Bureau of Elections, randomly draws a varying number of precincts in the County where we audit a precinct's absentee voter count board and election day process. This audit includes analyzing requirements around pre-election, election inspectors, e-pollbook, voting systems and testing, poll book, ballot containers, and applications to vote. All committees participating in the August 6, 2024 Primary Election must complete a Post-Election Statement for all contributions and expenses from July 22-August 26. This report is due by 5pm Thursday, September 5.
