UPDATE (7/22/2024 at 9:10 AM): Yesterday, around 11:00 AM, Penelope "Penny" Wise was located safe. Investigators learned that Penny met a 44-year-old Rockford man around 2:00 AM on June 1, 2024. He was a stranger. Penny lived with the man in his Rockford home starting on June 1, 2024, until yesterday, when she left the home on a bicycle and was seen by an observant community member, who contacted the police. Investigators also learned that Penny and the man were engaged.
KCSO thanks the Rockford Department of Public Safety and the observant citizen for their assistance in locating Penny.
On May 31, 2024, around 6:00 PM, Penelope "Penny" Wise left her family home on foot near Morley Park in Cedar Springs. Since Penny went missing, KCSO, along with search and rescue volunteers, the FBI, US Marshalls, and the Rockford Department of Public Safety, conducted extensive searches of the Rockford area where Penny was last observed on camera, near the Corner Bar.
KCSO's detectives are still investigating this case.

UPDATE (7/21/2024 at 1:06 PM): Today, around 11:00 AM, Penelope "Penny" Wise was located safe. The initial investigation revealed that Penny was living with an older man in a home, in the City of Rockford. Today, Penny left the home on a bicycle and was seen by an observant community member, who contacted police.
KCSO thanks the Rockford Department of Public Safety for their assistance in locating Penny this morning.

UPDATE (7/12/2024 at 5:30 AM): There will be several KCSO deputies in the Rockford area conducting a search for anything related to the whereabouts of Penelope "Penny" Wise on July 13, 2024, starting at 8:00 AM. This is not a development of new information but a continuation of KCSO's thorough investigation.
Penelope voluntarily left her home in Cedar Springs on May 31, 2024 around 6:00 PM. Penny is 5 feet tall, weighs approximately 120 pounds, and has blonde hair and braces. She was last seen wearing a pink tank top and shorts.
