Did you know the purpose of the August Primary Election is to nominate candidates for partisan office to appear in the November General Election? It is also to host conditional primary elections in nonpartisan contests. This is triggered when more than twice the number of candidates for a contest file. The top vote getters advance to the November General Election for a runoff election. However for this election in the Wyoming At-Large City Council election if a candidate received more than 50% of the vote they are automatically elected, per its City Charter.

All committees participating in the August 6, 2024 Primary Election must complete a Post-Election Statement for all contributions and expenses from July 22-August 26. This report is due by 5pm Thursday, September 5.
