Last week, Clerk Lyons participated in a webinar hosted by the Campaign Legal Center entitled "How Election Officials Are Preparing for the 2024 Presidential Election" along with Pennsylvania Secretary of the Commonwealth Al Schmidt and Nevada Secretary of State Francisco Aguilar. Candidates interested in appearing on the November 5, 2024 General Election ballot as a candidate for a partisan office with no party affiliation or for a district library board must file by 4pm Thursday, July 18. Candidates for local school, community college trustee, and some city offices must file by Tuesday, July 23. The filing requirements for the various offices appearing on the ballot can be found by CLICKING HERE.

The official candidate and proposal list for the August 6, 2024 Primary Election can be found by clicking here. Candidates that win in the August Primary Election will appear on the November 5 General Election ballot. Absentee ballots are available now. Early voting is from Saturday, July 27-Sunday, August 4.

Did you know that each city and township, prior to an election, conducts a public Logic & Accuracy Test? This testing is done to ensure that all election equipment functions as expected and tabulates ballots correctly as marked. All committees participating in the August 6, 2024 primary election must complete a Pre-Election Statement for all expenses from January 1-July 21. This report is due by 5pm Friday, July 26, 2024.
All committees NOT participating in an election in 2024 must complete a July Quarterly Statement for all expenses from January 1-July 20, 2024. This report is due by 5pm Thursday, July 25, 2024.
