Enhanced Online Portal Launched for Easy Access to Inspection Reports for Food Establishments, Body Art Shops, and Public Swimming Pools
Grand Rapids, MI (June 27, 2024) – The Kent County Health Department is excited to announce the launch of its enhanced online portal, designed to provide the public with easy access to inspection reports for food establishments, body art shops, and public swimming pools. This user-friendly site offers guidance on interpreting inspection results, answers to frequently asked questions, and more.
"We are committed to providing accessible and comprehensive information to the public," said Sara Simmonds, Director, Environmental Health Division. "This portal is a valuable resource, ensuring transparency and ease of access to important health and safety information."
The newly upgraded portal displays findings from routine and follow-up inspections, reflecting conditions observed at the time of the inspection. It is important to note that the inspection reports do not represent the overall, long-term state of the establishment.
A key feature of the portal is an interactive map, allowing users to find inspection reports for specific establishments by entering the name, address, or municipality,
"We are committed to continually evolving this portal, with plans to include access to well and septic permits, online licensing applications, and other features to streamline processes and improve public accessibility," concluded Simmonds.
The Health Department encourages residents to explore the new portal and use the available resources to stay informed about local health and safety standards.
