KCSO Arrests Retail Fraud Suspect in Cedar Springs
SOLON TOWNSHIP, Mich: Yesterday around 1:30 p.m., the KCSO was called to the Goodwill in Cedar Springs after an employee saw a man leave the store with stolen items. A deputy found the suspect near Goodwill with stolen items, and the man ran. KCSO deputies and MSP Troopers searched the area for the suspect and with the help of a bystander, the man was arrested.
It was later learned that this man changed his appearance after each theft at Aldi, Meijer, and Goodwill. KCSO's K-9 assisted with searching the area after the arrest and located several items that matched the clothing from the retail frauds from Aldi and Meijer.
The 21-year-old man from Cedar Springs was arrested on charges of retail fraud and resisting and obstructing police. He is expected to be arranged in the 63rd District Court.
