KCSO Investigates Stolen Vehicle, Resulting in Serious Injury
KENT COUNTY, Mich: A deputy located a stolen vehicle believed to be connected to several crimes across Kent County. The deputy attempted to initiate a traffic stop on the vehicle. The driver of the suspect vehicle failed to stop, resulting in a brief pursuit. The suspect vehicle went off the roadway, crashing into unoccupied, parked cars near Division Ave and 32nd St. Two occupants fled from the vehicle on foot while the vehicle was still in motion. A deputy's vehicle hit one of the fleeing occupants, causing serious injuries, and was transported to a local hospital. The other occupant was apprehended.
KCSO requested the assistance of the Michigan State Police to investigate this incident.
