KCSO Investigates Serious Injury Crash in Plainfield Township
PLAINFIELD TOWNSHIP, Mich: Shortly after 6:40 pm tonight, the Kent County Sheriff's Office, along with the Plainfield Fire Department, responded to the area of Hunsberger Ave near Providence St for a pedestrian struck by a vehicle. KCSO's preliminary investigation finds a 35-year-old man from Grand Rapids was driving a silver Toyota Prius north on Hunsberger Ave near Providence St when it observed a pedestrian in the roadway. The Toyota was not able to stop in time and struck the 46-year-old Plainfield man who was in the road. The man was transported to an area hospital with serious injuries. The driver of the Toyota is uninjured.
This incident remains under investigation by the KCSO Traffic and Safety Unit.
