Dear Community Members,
As the Director of Kent County Community Action, I am always thinking about what the emergency needs of our community are and how our organization can make the biggest impact. And as winter temperatures drop, many families are struggling to afford the cost of essential utilities like heat. This inability to pay for heat can be life-threatening for many and that is why we are excited to host our annual Walk For Warmth event in just a few weeks! When we come together to walk, we are raising awareness for these essential needs and when you donate at this event, your support ensures that vulnerable individuals and families can enjoy a safe and comfortable home during the colder months. These investments of time and treasure lift our community up.
Thank you in advance for your support, and we look forward to engaging with you in the community and through this quarterly newsletter.
Sincerely,
Kent County Community Action Director, Gustavo Perez
